I've googled and found several messages, mostly about kubuntu, but no solution. What am I missing?

yum install kdebase-workspace-python-applet
?
It wasn't installed, but unless something needs restarting it hasn't helped, either. :-(

It wasn't installed, but unless something needs restarting it hasn't helped, either. :-(
Shrug, maybe something else... that's indeed what supplies the plasma-python scriptengine.
