Sounds like you don't currently have the copr enabled

latest kf5-libktorrent is/should-be
koji latest-pkg f25-updates kf5-libktorrent
...
kf5-libktorrent-2.0.1-5.fc25
(and kf5-libktorrent-2.0.1-5.fc24 for f24)
and copr
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/rdieter/ktorrent/
contains
ktorrent-5.0.1-2
Maybe try 'dnf distro-sync' instead?
Well, that would be fine except that it wants to downgrade me to ktorrent 4.3.1-24.fc24
and, if I'm not mistaken, the older version keeps the torrent information in a
different
location such that I'll lose the info on a downgrade.

good question, considering it, based on testing/feedback of copr, which
needs to be overwhelmingly positive, since it would be a major change.
Well, I've been using it for quite a while now and it seems to work very well. The
only
issue I have is that when starting subsequent downloads I get a notification that
ktorrent
has crashed and I should restart it.....but it doesn't seem to have....and I've no
idea
how to capture the "crash" or report it. :-)
