Hi,
I'm running KDE 4.6 beta (rawhide) for a while now and it looks very nice. Thanks for the great work!
But I see a few issues.
1. As the subject say the icon-cache gets corrupted, if I interpret the message in .xsession-errors correct: "kde(1471)/kdeui (KIconLoader): Trying to remove an entry which is already invalid. This cache is likely corrupt." 2. dolpin is rather a slow starter (~3-4 sec.). May be related to 1. 3. KMail2 has a long way to go. This version is better than the previous one. It's much more responsive. Notifications still don't work, lots of settings are not saved/used, database corruption (akonadi some times gets crazy) etc.
WRT 1(2?): What did I already do? a. I've tried to remove the icon-cache. This temporary 'solves' the issue. b. I created a new user. After a log out/log in the messages start appearing.
Did any one else see this, do I have to bz, to what component?
Thanks,
Martin Kho

I'm getting a different error code, but all the icons from all the different menus are gone. Not sure if its configuration related issue or not.

Seeing the same on two machines. Most likely due to nepomuk. Disabling it seems to solve this issue.
... I wonder if we should report it.

In my case this seems to be related to qtcurve. I'm deleted the icon cache and reinstalled the qrcurve theme and the icons returned.

Hi Gilboa,
Your issue seems to be unrelated to that of mine. My icons didn't disappear, and use the default theme (oxygin). .xsession-errors gets overflooded with the above mentioned messages when I close an application.

I have a few of those errors about corrupt cache. However, they are few and far between compared to messages from okular. .xsession-errors is currently at 227Mb and growing (at about 36 hours uptime). The messages are of the form: okular(22047) Okular::TextPagePrivate::findTextInternalForward: "m" okular(22047) Okular::TextPagePrivate::findTextInternalForward: "o" okular(22047) Okular::TextPagePrivate::findTextInternalForward: "d" okular(22047) Okular::TextPagePrivate::findTextInternalForward: "e"
[user@localhost ~]$ cat .xsession-errors | grep Okular::TextP | wc -l 1930863
(that's two million lines!)
It seems to be sending a message for every letter of some pdfs. I reported a bug here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258411 in case anyone else is seeing it.
Cheers M.
