Sorry for the repeat posting. I never saw it show up on the list, so I am resending it.
One of my favorite features of the folder view was than when placing the cursor over an icon that represented a directory a small window would pop up with up to six icons that represented objects in that directory. You could scroll in the window and mouse over another directory, and another, such that you could drill down until you found the object you'd like to open. Very cool!
So what happened to that feature? Is there a way to re-enable it?
That feature disappeared when I upgraded from Fedora 13 to Fedora 14.
Also, is there any way to get rid of the select "+" symbol on each object in a folder view?

Well it was removed (more correctly, a compromise was found) because there were complaints when some users accidentally triggered the popup with folder ontents. Now there is an "arrow" symbol under the "+" sysmbol that you have to click on to show the popup. And then inside this popup if you just mouse-over the folder it will show the popup automatically just as before,

Not that I know of. There is a way to disable this in Dolphin, but not in Folder View, as far as i know.

That arrow is invisible in older Plasma themes that don't have that graphic. _______________________________________________ kde mailing list kde@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/kde New to KDE4? - get help from http://userbase.kde.org
I was able to get the functionality I like by selecting the Laughlin Theme, as it had the required symbol. Unfortunately I now hate my desktop look :-) I had been using the "Slim Glow" theme.
Any clues on how to get the proper symbol into Slim Glow, or how to "adjust" the Laughlin theme colors and such? Especially the task bar colors and text effects.
I've tried messing the the theme manager but nothing I do get me both the arrow symbol in the folder view mouse over and the color scheme I like.

Original message did show up. I see same behavior but don't have any solutions.
