On the kdepim list, a while back, someone wrote a very clear how-to for setting up Google calendar in Kontact, but he uses Ubuntu. The packages he said were needed are
libgcal akonadi-kde-resource-googledata
The first I have installed, but what is the Fedora equivalent of the second one, please?

Hello.
Some time ago I looked for this package but I haven't found any. AFAIK Akonadi doesn't work well with Google unlike Thunderbird and Evolution…

Thomas Janssen packaged it (as akonadi-googledata), but it never got through the review process, only into his personal repository (which, to my knowledge, he hasn't updated recently).
Somebody needs to get that package through a Fedora review.

That would certainly be very useful.
Is there an analogous way of getting Google contacts into Kontact?
I'm still looking for a simple way to combine all my contacts into one AddressBook on my CentOS home server. At present I'm making do with openldap, which I don't like, and which doesn't seem to be well-incorporated into kdepim .
I suspect that what I am looking for does exist, but ignorance and age hide it from my eyes ...
