Proposal to Modify: IoT Meeting Time

Hi all, I would like to propose changing the start time of the IoT meeting by one hour: from 1400UTC to 1500UTC. I have checked the calendar for the meeting room (#fedora-meeting) and see that it is clear from 1500UTC-1600UTC, which allows ample time for an IoT meeting. This idea was briefly talked about at the IoT meeting today, and was generally accepted in theory, but I wanted to get thoughts or feedback from those who were unable to attend. tl;dr Change IoT meeting start time from 1400UTC to 1500UTC. Creating a user and password

At the time of writing, https://provision.fedoraproject.org is non-functional. Is there an obvious way to create a user (or to set the root password) on a Raspberry Pi? I've found files I could edit but not sure of the implications of doing so. Does the dependency on infrastructure that may be absent during commissioning suggest that the decision to not have a default user/password should be reconsidered? Cheers. Paul

Hi, We are working on a platform based on arch64 and trying to port Fedora-IoT rootfs. We have our own board’s u-boot and kernel image and following below method to achieve the same. https://pagure.io/arm-image-installer But we are stuck at the init process. We have made a SD card using arm-image-installer utility and after that we have changed the u-boot and kernel image (upstream kernel with our customised patches for our hardware). We parsed the commandline argument ostree=/ostree/boot.0/fedora-iot/5664fcf7ba61ad3632b58faf71ec0965c413be4b6a63754015d1cba5b09079db/0 init=/ostree/deploy/fedora-iot/deploy/23010389d9eb42baedcd764a2aca8afa2a5958e61477359526a3ea998f0c4d2d.0/usr/lib/ostree/ostree-prepare-root" Our kernel got stuck and throws below error. [ 3.717428] Run /ostree/deploy/fedora-iot/deploy/23010389d9eb42baedcd764a2aca8afa2a5958e61477359526a3ea998f0c4d2d.0/usr/lib/ostree/ostree-prepare-root as init process [ 3.737168] Kernel panic - not syncing: Requested init /ostree/deploy/fedora-iot/deploy/23010389d9eb42baedcd764a2aca8afa2a5958e61477359526a3ea998f0c4d2d.0/usr/lib/ostr%e/ostree-prepare-root failed (error -2). [ Please suggest.
