nntp (aka, usenet) client in kde?

I currently use t-bird with an nntp account pointing to gmane to read this list and sereral others. Does kde have an nntp client program of any sort? I don't see it as a possible new account type in kmail. Also, search with kpackagekit yields nothing with "usenet" or "nntp" that is kde specific. -gene

Bluetooth under KDE?

Is it possible to install and setup Bluetooth under Fedora-15/KDE? I gather kbluetooth (or kdebluetooth) no longer exists, and bluez seems to be departing in favour of bluedevil, which unfortunately appears to be completely undocumented. Incredible Shrinking Fonts

Why do the fonts in KDE keep shrinking over time? This is not just in Fedora 15, but has affected Fedora in general for many years. A few weeks ago, I was using font size 12. Then, 12 shrank, so I increased the standard system font size to 13. Recently, it shrank again, so last night I increased my system font size to 14. Why does one continually have to choose a larger font size to maintain a constant font size?

Dolphin and FUSE file system is slow

Hi, I'm using Wuala [1] secure online storage. One of its options is filesystem integration. "With filesystem integration enabled, Wuala creates a virtual harddisk drive to which your operating system can connect." On Linux FUSE is used. The output of df -h gives: javafs 1.0G 50M 975M 5% /home/martin/WualaDrive What I experience is that scrolling and opening/entering directories in Dolphin and Konqueror is rather slow. I saw that there is a report in bugs.kde.org [2] where Dolphin gets slow when using sshfs (FUSE). I've issued "ls -al WualaDrive" on the command line (Konsole) which is fast. The same for Nautilus in Gnome. Did anyone else have seen this? Do I miss something? Thanks, Martin Kho I'm running a full updated Fedora 15. Would it not make sense to include this extension as RPM in Fedora - Worked really nice until the 5.0 release and i guess a simple recompile against the new xulrunner-devel could make it work again but no idea how https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/kde-wallet-password-integratio/

plasma-nm nm09 branch snapshots coming to kde-testing

What's the hubub in $SUBJECT mean? speak english man! Well, in particular, I'll be moving a new kde-plasma-networkmanagement-0.9-0.53.20110616git.nm09.fc15 build into f15's kde-testing repo shortly. As opposed to prior plasma-nm builds in f15 that use some hacks/patches in nm-0.9 to be backward compatible with nm-0.8 clients, these newer builds will use nm-0.9 in native mode. That's a lot of techno-gibberish, admittedly, but what it means is this native nm-0.9 support is the future. Moving forward, we'd like to get a native nm09 client into f15 as soon as possible, and that means we need to test, test, test this sucker. So, please go forth and do. Thank you. -- Rex

Wireless networking broken -- what to do?

I haven't been able to get a wireless network connection since the last Fedora 15 NetworkManager update. As an added bonus, Plasma desktop crashes when the wireless connection fails. (OK, I apologize for doing my usual thing -- paying only cursory attention to the content of the list until *my* setup breaks. I know there are changes afoot in NetworkManager, et al., but I thought they were all happening in -testing and -unstable.) My system: Fedora 15 (x86_64) |abacus4>rpm -q NetworkManager NetworkManager-0.8.9997-4.git20110620.fc15.x86_64 |abacus4>rpm -q kde-plasma-networkmanagement kde-plasma-networkmanagement-0.9-0.47.20110323.fc15.1.x86_64 I am using the standard kde-redhat repo, no -testing, no -unstable. What do I have to do to get my wireless network working? For the time being, I am stuck with switching to Gnome, which is not making me happy. Thanks, Jim Amundson

Oxygen Window Decorations

Hi All, I've been out of the running for a bit so sorry if this has been asked before. I seem to have a problem with the Oxygen Window Decorations. Icons to minimize, maximize, close and help have gone missing (a few) updates ago. I'm not exactly sure when they went AWOL. I have seen this on at least 2 different Fedora 15 machines running KDE 4.6.4 (from kde-testing) and one virtual Fedora 14 machine also running KDE 4.6.4.
