It did work for KDE 3 apps. And IIRC the reason we shipped a /usr/bin/kdesu
in kdebase3 in the first place is because some KDE 3 apps use it. There are
even some packages in F9 with a file dep on it, which now have broken deps,
repoquery returns:
ksmarttray-0:1.1-58.fc9.i386
ksmarttray-0:0.52-54.fc9.i386
kdebluetooth-0:1.0-0.41.beta8.fc9.i386
kdebluetooth has been replaced by a KDE 4 version, but what about
ksmarttray?
