is there a way to override stuff in /etc/xdg/autostart?
until recent upgrades "powerdevil" was a soft dependency and was not
pulled but besides that one item - it's a crap that packages install
stuff in /etc
systemd makes this way smarter by haveing the same folder-structure
below /usr and /etc so that you can just place a symlink to /dev/null in
/etc and don't have to worry about package updates

Doesn't matter (kde uses that as an extra security measure, I can go into
more detail if you like)
no need for details - it's just a matter of consistency having tsuff
with 755 while anything else there has 644 which is fine

So to make a change global, append Hidden=true to /etc/xdg/autostart/*.desktop,
or will updating something overwrite such change(s)?

surely and that's the problem of packages installing stuff in /etc
withouth "confignoreplace" and useless dependencies pulling not really
required stuff at all
