Is Fedora supposed to be able to run on an Aspire One netbook? I bootet a recent rawhide snapshot which seems to work well but when X start I just get a black screen and a busy pointer.
It should work very well but it depends on your particular model. If you have one with a Atom Z series chip you'll have problems but all the rest should work out of the box for basically everything. Let me know your model number and I can tell you more. The soon to be released F-13 alpha should work fine.
It's a 751h model with an Atom Z520 CPU. I tested an F12 live-cd and that works but the F13 one doesn't. Unfortunately the graphics chip doesn't seem to be supported which makes the desktop extremely slow. I found that the driver was apparently once available in RPMFusion but it was never released for F12+. Trying to rebuild the psb-kmod just gave me a message that it doesn't like the i386 architecture.
I maintain psb. It doesn't work on F12. There's no way it can unless someone who actually knows how to code ports it to X server 1.7. It just isn't written to work with F12's X.org.
