Smolt and Bugzilla
by Robert M. Albrecht
Hi,
I wanted to report a bug against smolt. It stopped working after
yesterdays rawhide updates.
[romal@helios ~]$ smoltSendProfile
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/smoltSendProfile", line 102, in <module>
print profile.getProfile()
File "/usr/share/smolt/client/smolt.py", line 389, in getProfile
return '\n'.join(printBuffer)
UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 6:

[romal@helios ~]$
Problem is, I don`t find smolt in the components list in Bugzilla. Isn't
smolt included or is it named differently ?

wine issues
by Jim Bevier
For the last several days yum wants me to update wine-core to version
0.9.36-2.fc7. This causes a conflict with wine and wine-??? packages
because they want version 0.9.36-1.fc7. I know this is not a mirror issue.
So when are the rest of the wine packages going to be rebuilt so wine-core
can be updated to 0.9.36-2.fc7? Is this just an oversite?

F7: No CF Cards recognized anymore
by Guido Ledermann
Hi,
after the latest update, no CF card is recognized anymore. Even if I
boot with kernel 3175 it doesn't work.
Has anybody similar experiences?

Re: fedora-test-list Digest, Vol 39, Issue 56
by Oliver Ruebenacker
Dear friends,
I tried both "yum install ipw3945 ipw3945-kmdl-`uname -r`" and "yum
install iwlwifi iwlwifi-kmdl-`uname -r`", but it still complains about
missing /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.21-1.3142.fc7.
What next? Thanks!
Take care
Oliver

Downgrading kernel?
by Oliver Ruebenacker
Dear friends,
How do I downgrade to an older kernel, or to any older version of an
already installed package? I can not find an rpm or yum option to do
it, and I can not find a yum option to show anything but the newest
version of a package. Thanks!
Take care
Oliver

hard hang at boot -- i386 F7T4 + latest rawhide
by John Poelstra
At power up box hangs (keyboard lights blinking) about 50% of the time while it appears to be starting the network. Running on a Dell Precision 470. Weird thing is that I power the box off and it boots fine the next time.
uname -a
Linux yardsale 2.6.21-1.3149.fc7 #1 SMP Fri May 11 12:12:11 EDT 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Anyone else seeing this?
No information in /var/log/messages and I don't have a serial cable handy.

Dear friends,
Which package should I rebuild and how? What is a proper kernel-devel?
Waiting a couple of hours did not help.
Take care
