Now it works as documented, while previously it could have done slightly different things depending on the order of the entries. * virtual: Allow opening virtual mailboxes that refer to non-existing mailboxes. It seems that the benefits of this outweigh the lack of error message when typoing a mailbox name. * Added some disk I/O optimizations to Maildir and index code. They're especially helpful with short-lived connections like POP3. * pop3: Added pop3_fast_size_lookups setting. * doveconf sometimes failed with complaining about missing ssl_key setting, causing e.g. dovecot-lda to fail. * lda: If there's an error in configuration, doveconf didn't exit with EX_TEMPFAIL as it should have. * sdbox: Fixed memory leak when copying messages with hard links. * zlib + sdbox combination didn't work * zlib: Fixed several crashes, which mainly showed up with mbox. * quota: Don't crash if user has quota disabled, but plugin loaded. * doveadm fetch uid was actually returning sequence, not uid. * v2.0.4's subscription listing ignored (and logged a warning about) subscriptions=no namespaces' entries in some configurations. (So listing shared mailboxes' subscriptions could have been broken.) * acl: Fixed crashing when sometimes listing shared mailboxes via dict proxy. - dovecot updated to 2.0.3 - dovecot-lda: Removed use of non-standard Envelope-To: header as a default for -a - dsync: Fixed handling \Noselect mailboxes - Fixed an infinite loop introduced by v2.0.2's message parser changes. - Fixed a crash introduced by v2.0.2's istream-crlf changes. - vpopmail support is disabled for now, since it's broken. Xorg bug affecting VirtualBox, KVM, and maybe other platforms

According to one of the VirtualBox developers (Frank Mehnert), bugs 621893 (VirtualBox) and 623956 (KVM) may actually be the same bug in Xorg affecting VESA 2.0. He filed an upstream bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30585 which was closed as a duplicate of https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30159 which was originally filed on 9-13 and for which Adam Jackson already has a proposed patch. It's possible that other basic video bugs such as 627073, 632805, and 633247 affecting bare metal might be the same. Is it possible to get a fix for this by Final TC1?

What is the current F14 state?

Hi, I'm thinking about upgrade of my devel (php, python2, python3, postgres, mysql, firebird, cherokee, apache, git, some xorg related libs etc) system from F13 to F14Beta+. I've seen recently some bug reports about serious bugs associated with glibc, gcc, kernel. Do these problems has been eliminated? Are there any known serious outstanding issues? Regards, Michal

F14 kernel process loop, possibly in ext4 filesystem code

EXT4 filesystem directory with 100,000+ small files, 4-core intel processor, batch process that runs parallel on all four processors ... adding/deleting several hundred files. No problem on F13 but fairly consistently happens since recent "preupgrade" to F14. If I serialize the processing, problem doesn't occur. Initial symptom is that batch process doesn't complete and gkrellm shows one of the processors at 100% cpu in the kernel. Eventually whole system locks up and requires reboot (with manual reset switch). Directory will then frequently show numerous newly added files as zero bytes (i.e. metadata had been logged, but actual data never written to disk).

Installing F14 beta using btrfs question

Hi, Because everything went so well with the beta, I thought about overwriting an old F10 partition with F14 as a test bed for btrfs. But I noticed that it isn't possible to reformat (or format) to btrfs as part of the install (at least it wasn't with the custom partitioning scheme). Would there be a way to do this, even indirectly? The nearest I've come so far is to reformat the partition as btrfs, and then do an rsync from the new F14-beta ext4 partition. Of course, I'd have to edit fstab, and grub, etc. but these are pretty minor tweaks. Would I need a separate boot for grub as ext4, or can it boot from btrfs?

F14 beta compliments

I just installed the F14 beta x86_64 from the DVD. Wow! The install process was smooth and there were no glitches at all. I especially liked the new custom partition interface. It was maybe two hours from the download to up and running. And there were no issues at all with the graphics. And everything is so fast!!!! From X to the consoles and back is instantaneous. And yum seems to do things without even thinking about them. I've become used to software bloat so that newer versions of things are always slower and more complicated. Not here! Of course it will take me a few weeks to make everything comfortable and homey, but kudos to all involved with the release! Good job! Thank you. PS I liked the default wallpaper.
