Testcase Review

Greetings Testers!
I've been working on some testcases and general wiki work for the Cloud
SIG [0]. While I was doing this I created a few testcases and edited a
couple of our others. I'd like to these get reviewed and placed on the
matrices.
Below is a list of what I've done so far:
* Desktop Updates
Split out the command line bits into their own testcase.
Edited version:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Roshi/QA/Testcase_Desktop_updates
New CLI updates testcase:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Roshi/QA/Testcase_CLI_updates
* Package installation
We didn't already have testcases for package installation (it was
implied in a bunch of other places though), so I created them.
New Testcases:
CLI:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_CLI_package_installation
GUI:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_GUI_package_installation
* Base system logging
I added some bits to include cloud images.
Edited Testcase:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Roshi/QA/Testcase_base_system_logging
On a related note, with the new package installation testcases, it
occurred to me we don't have a "Package installation" release
criteria. Again this is implied through other criteria - but should we
have an explicit criteria regarding package installation? I don't know it would
*add* anything to our matrices, but I also don't see it
detracting from the status quo.
Regardless of the potential new criteria, if you could review these
testcases, that would be great!
Thanks!

I would like to arrange a Printing Test Day for Fedora 20. Proposed date
is 5th November 2013.
= background analysis =
Fedora 20 comes with CUPS 1.7 and Ghostscript 9.10, as well as some
changes to the cups-filters package.
= implementation recommendation =
The main focus will be regression testing.

KDE Plasma Workspaces test day for Fedora 20
Proposed date is 7th November, 2013.
= implementation recommendation =
We, as the KDE SIG need to test our three proposed features:
* KDE Plasma Workspaces 4.11
* Plasma-nm
* SDDM as the default KDE display manager instead of KDM
as well as the regular KDE tests ran before every Fedora release

We would like to run Power management test day. The arrangement will be
similar to our previous Power management test days. We can prepare the
live medium ourselves. We propose 2013-11-14, but any other date should
fit.

Fedora21 lpr prints blank pages
by Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX
The F21 lp and lpr commands print blank pages.
The CUPS test page printed normally, as did a print from GIMP.

Pcmanfm, aisleriot strangeness
by Steven Usdansky
Running a fully updated F21 branch with LXDE desktop; I see the same
behavior when running sol and pcmanfm. In both cases, clicking on the
titlebar does nothing; I can't click and drag the window, and the minimize,
maximize, and close buttons don't respond. However, if I click on the
menubar, the window becomes active; clicking in the empty part of the
menubar, I can do a click and drag. The windows look like gtk2 windows,
but appear to be behaving like gtk3 windows. Bug or feature?

Fedora-Minimal-armhfp-21-20140730-sda.raw.xz on Cubieboard 2 - problems
by Robert Moskowitz
It took me a bit to work out issues with the serial console to get back
into testing. Those issues are for a separate list...
I can get Minimal to go through the install process and set timezone,
root password, and userid. When I go to log in I get:
Fedora release 21 (Twenty One)
Kernel 3.16.0-0.rc7.git1.1.fc21.armv7hl on an armv7l (ttyS0)

No commands work. I know the IP address this device gets assigned so I
tried pinging and ssh:

# ssh 208.87.63.186 -l root
ssh: connect to host 208.87.63.186 port 22: Connection refused
You can probably ping it yourself, but port 22 is blocked at the
firewall router.
I powered off and rebooted, and still the same behaviour. I did a
screen capture of the install, so can provide that if it would help
(54K). Note I have had this problem since I started on Minimal with the
20140724 build, but have not been able to stablily test it. I believe
my setup now provides a reliable test of the build on a Cubieboard 2.
Further note that I have a F19 and F20 remix working on this system on
other SD cards. I can boot any of the versions just by switching which
card is in it.
Thank you and I await advise on what to provide next (or a build that
works for me).
