I have been using the severn updates through up2date, and have recently started having an unusual problem. Up2date is pulling i686 rpms, but rpm will not install them, it says that the package is intended for a i686 architecture and aborts. This is a Pentium II system. Up2date can see that, but rpm can't. Rpm version 4.2.1-0.30.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
I am working around it by manually installing with the ignorearch switch.
