Hello!
Installation of F31 on my Dell Inspiron 15 is failing, either, by
creating a live USB stick and (kind of) by upgrading F30 --> F31 by
DNF.
The live USB doesn't even pass from the boot selecor (start, test
media, troubleshooting). After choosing any option I receive a black
unresponsive screen. No error messages and just the power button
works.
Now I discovered that after using DNF to upgrade to F31 if I select
the F31's kernel I have the same black screen, but if I choose any of
the F30 previous kernels the system starts nicely.
Can this be a kernel issue?
Hi Henrique! Sorry for the trouble. A kernel issue would be the most
likely suspect, yes. Can you try tweaking the boot parameters a bit?
Could you remove the 'quiet rhgb' from the params when booting (either
an image or the installed system) and add 'debug' instead, and see if
anything changes?
