We've done it before. I'd like to avoid that, though, if we can. A less messy alternative is to do a non-Thursday event; we do allow those in the case you really need a specific time frame and all the Thursday slots are taken. It does not matter which day of the week it is. IMO desktop taking 3 days in a row is just ridiculous there should be some way to submit all the requests with priorities and time frame constraints and then assign dates for them.
