Hi folks,
So at our last meeting we had a bit of a discussion about wanting folks to use our hackergotchi service more. We brainstormed some tickets to work on to fix this. I just got around to filing them tonight:
- Identify problem hackergotchi https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/138
- Contact folks with missing hackergotchi; let them know about hackergotchi queue https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/139
- Contact folks with hackergotchi that don't follow the guidelines; let them know about hackergotchi queue https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/140
- Make a blog post advertising the hackergotchi service with guidelines for good hackergotchi https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/141
- Hackergotchi guidelines/documentation https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/142
A lot of these tasks rely on ticket 141 to be completed so that should probably go first. Nicu, you had volunteered for that one last meeting if I provided an impartial (you can cite me as identifying them) list of example good hackergotchi for you. I put that (non-inclusive) list in a comment on the ticket for you.
What do folks think?

Ticket #141 is CLOSED FIXED, we can go forward. My blog post is http://nicubunu.blogspot.com/2010/07/good-hackergotchis-for-everyone.html and Jef wrote one too: http://jefsblog.wordpress.com/2010/07/04/introducing-hackergotchi-ribbons/
Do we have a stub page for #142 in place so I can share the links and my experience there?

Now that the #141 is fixed I can start working on the #138 [1] :)
It's a long list but I can handle it...
After compiling the lists (the ugly and the missing) I will make an generic email for each list and send to all owners.. thus we will provide assistance, point to guidelines or simple clear up.
Just before sending the mails I will cc them to the list so we can review them.
