Hi all,
since yesterday was the deadline and there seemed to be no meeting
either, I was wondering what's the state of the alpha wallpaper. What
should I package? I see just two concepts on the devel page [1]...
Cheers,

PS: I switched to rawhide recently and one really annoying thing on the
Gnome version is the wallpaper. Initially I just thought the stripes
looked nice albeit oldish/retro, but actually seeing them on desktop
annoyed me a lot, to my surprise. So I'd like to propose to tone them
down a lot in our version.

Hi all,
So the plan we were discussing at FUDCon was, as I understand it, something
like this:
- we'll try to create something during a hackfest (of which the results are
on that wiki page)
- it will be based on the GNOME striped wallpaper, but with our own touch
added to it
- if we can create something we think looks good, we'll propose it to the
GNOME designers, so they can tell us if they agree or not with using it in
F15
- if they don't agree to that, we'll propose it to the Board to get a
decision on what to do
At least, that's my view on it. Seems to me that's a way to get a reasonable
compromise where both the GNOME and Fedora Design teams can provide input.
If I got something wrong, please correct me.
Anyway, to answer Martin's question... The deadline for the Alpha wallpaper
was yesterday and the package deadline is next week. So we should probably
choose one and package it, or (if none are satisfactory) refrain from doing
so and simply have the old wallpaper for Alpha (which obviously has the
downside of not getting feedback).
