Give it a try if you're brave - it's in kde-unstable already (as 4.3.95).

I'm already brave (or stupid, depending on how you look it at :)) - I'm currently on 4.4.90.

By the way, you use a nvidia video card with the propietary driver? Plasma-desktop is rock solid here with 4.3.90
