Btrfs feature profile
by Hannah Kowen
Dear Chris and Josef,
My name is Hannah Kowen and I am a student at Allegheny College
working with the Fedora 13 release. I am interested in working on the
Btrfs feature profile.
David- I saw that you started to work on the Btrfs feature profile,
and if there is anything specific you'd like me to start working on,
please let me know.
Regarding the interview:
* Can be done by IRC, email, video conference, voice. Feel free to
choose the method that better suits you.
* The interview wouldn't be that long, just long enough for me to get
a feel of how Btrfs works (and for someone without very much technical
expertise.)
Thank you for your time.Hannah Kowen

Gerold (EMEA) and other Ambassadors - Elevator speech/pitch
by Nelson Marques
Dear Ambassadors,
For reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elevator_speech
If you believe that Ambassadors could use a small flyer (front/back
pages, 1 sheet, unknown format, maybe A4 foldable in 2 or 3?) for mass
deployment on field in events with a short objective message ("elevator
speech").
I'm making myself available to develop such for you if you can provide
some feedback based on your experiences with your local audiences. If
the Ambassadors want to set a meeting in IRC for discussing this and how
it could help you, please feel free to use this thread for such.
I'm also leaving a word (since I'm not an artist) to any artist reading
this that wants to volunteer for such project, will be most welcome.
Together (Marketing, Art Designers and Ambassadors) we can probably
develop a flyer directed for general audiences for this purpose.
Personal Note: This shouldn't be confused neither compared to one page
release notes, as I believe we're trying to get different goals and
using different methods.

Marketing flyer updated in English
by Max Spevack
In preparation for Texas Linux Fest, I made a few minor updates to the
Marketing flyer, which was (as I understand it) started by Pierros for
our Greek Ambassadors, and is a great piece of work.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing_Fedora_flyer#Flyer_A4_landscape_...
I'd give the current grade of this flyer a B. Why not an A? Because I
think it could use something more than the cursory review that I gave it
to ensure that it's more on-message, and maybe the once-over from the
design team as well.
I understand the value of a generally-release-independent flyer,
especially if we take the time to design it nicely and we want to use it
for a year or two without making huge changes.
Anyway, I think the current version will serve our needs for TLF. I
just wonder what we'd like this to look like a month from now when F13
lands.

Activities in KSA
by Jan Wildeboer
All,
I am right now in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in my role Red Hats Evangelist. It
seems there is virtually no Fedora community here.
Am I missing something or do we need to change that? There definitely is a
lot of interest and some enthusiasm to build upon. Simple stuff like better
localization, more comples stuff like having usergroups.
So do we know of any work in the MEA area? Should we start focusing a bit
more on this area?

Wiki - Colour Codes in the scope of Marketing
by Nelson Marques
Hi all,
Fur future reference if this suits anyone:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/Color_Meanings
As a personal note, I would like to clarify that is how Marketing /
Advertising professionals sometimes use colours. It's widely accepted in
the Western Civilization at least. For other regions, the meanings might
be shared, but further research should be accomplished.
Regarding artists that are on this list, please don't take this too
much serious, as it might be useful for when developing a logo or splash
image, it usually should apply to your "general" work. This is mainly
how Marketing can use colours combined with other variables in order to
trigger sensations and feelings.
On a personal level, I would like to point this Fiat add as a powerful
example on how to explore red which triggers in most cases (this add) a
feeling of passion and creation:
Link #1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLL8r18jx3g
Link #2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCQ46A8KK-8
I've lefted two links, since the first one has a more scarlet red (but
lower definition) which resembles best with the add itself.
Anyway, yet another (maybe, who knows?) unuseful contribution.
