Marketing the workstation as suitable for both developers and normal end users
by Ankur Sinha
Hi,
I just saw this on the devel list. It seems that the intended target
audience of the workstation has been assumed to be only developers
completely excluding simple end users. What can we do to clarify this?

Yes, this has always been a problem, one that has been solved by
removing everything except the live CD. :p

This would be redundant with Fedora Workstation. Workstation is what you
want to download. We want it to be great for developers, but it's not
for developers only: your confusion indicates that we have not been
successful at marketing it as such.

Greetings.
This is a reminder email about the end of life process for Fedora 19.
Fedora 19 will reach end of life on 2015-01-06, and no further updates
will be pushed out after that time. Additionally, with the recent
release of Fedora 21, no new packages will be added to the Fedora 19
collection.
Please see http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DistributionUpgrades for more
information on upgrading from Fedora 19 to a newer release.

Yesterday we had 14,488 visitors, with Matthews article being in the top again, along with how to upgrade to Fedora 21 from Fedora 20 by Ryan Lerch and people looking in the archives.

Final release announcement coordination
by Jaroslav Reznik
Hi all!
As we're getting to pretty solid RC, it's again time for release
announcement. Readiness meeting is on Thursday, would be nice to
have a draft ready for review and final version next Monday, so
text formatted and magazine versions can be prepared in advance.
Workstation seems to be pretty covered, do we have any additions
to Server and Cloud? The other thing is to get rid of all Beta
strings.
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F21_Final_release_announcement
Thanks Joe for starting it and Paul for Workstation bit so
far! We had the best Alpha/Beta announcements so far, let's
continue with this high bar :).

Fedora 21 Final Release Readiness Meeting :: Thursday, Dec. 04, 19:00 UTC
by Jaroslav Reznik
Fedora 21 Final Release Readiness Meeting.
date: 2014-12-04 place: irc.freenode.net in #fedora-meeting-2
time: 19:00 UTC (2 PM EST, 11 AM PST, 20:00 CET)
This Thursday, December 04, we will meet to make sure we are coordinated
and ready for the Final release of Fedora 21 on Tuesday, December 09, 2014.
Please note that this meeting will occur on December 09 even if the
release is delayed at the Go/No-Go meeting on the same day two hours
earlier.
You may received this message several times, but I was asked to open this
meeting to the teams and I'll also hope this will raise awareness and more
team representatives will come to this meeting. This meeting works best
when we have representatives from all of the teams. Also, there's a
Fedora badge for active participants!
