Akregator supports TTS reading of RSS articles, perhaps it would be
simpler to add ogg export to akregator.
Or maybe a plugin for liferea (LInux FEed REAder) could be written.
As for language tools, kde has a bunch in the education packages. Check
out

These certainly aren't comparative to the commercial language packages,
but they are a good starting point.

Another good idea would be a language text tool. I haven´t found programs
for Linux. It would be a step forward in this direction, the programs
involved by default. So far there is such language text tools only for
Windows systems. Many firms use this tools. I think it would be a great free
or low cost tool to have on Fedora! :)
