I just created
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_11_beta_release_announcment which is
the news I want to spread via the NDN (News Distribution Network) when the
beta will be released. This is a point we should talk about this evening
during the IRC meeting, but feel free to edit it meanwhile.

I'm not sure if you were aware that the Docs team is already working
on the official Beta release announcement, which is found here:

The Docs team took the lead on creating this announcement, in
the release readiness meeting held last week:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-advisory-board/2009-March/msg00070...
That meeting includes a representative from each team that's part of
the Fedora release. Jack was present at that meeting to represent the
Marketing team. He should help coordinate Marketing input into the
Docs team's writing of the announcement, as indicated in the notes.

Maybe a common wiki page with topics-pages categorized with a small preview
who were created for the name of the release cycle?

only download a Alpha :S
that's ok or is an error?

The Beta was not released yet:

That wiki page is not for the large public, is for internal use in

The Docs team worked on this last night, as announced for their
meeting, and made many changes. Steven, you'll note that the lead-in
has been changed so hopefully it doesn't come off strangely now. Also
we used some pull quotes from different reviews to bolster the
statements.
The default talking points have been matched across the announcement
from the work the Marketing team has done, so the top bullets agree
across all the different work going on for feature presentation. The
Docs team will be notifying everyone shortly.
