In what way is yum/rpm superior to apt-get/dpkg? I'm not being
polemical, this is a genuine question.
There are differences. RPM has multi-lib support, file based
dependencies, triggers etc while dpkg has soft dependencies and so on.
Note that apt-rpm already exists in the Fedora repository.
