Hmm, I've just followed the instuctions here

to work fine. I'm currently compiling OpenSceneGraph, and think
desktop performance is improved (gut feeling, I haven't done any
measuring). Note that I don't use systemD (yet)

it relies on systemd (that's why lennart got involved :>) so you'd need
to be running systemd on f14, obviously. but even if you're doing that,
i'm not sure all the stuff is there in f14 for it to work.
