No problems with the builtin wifi:

[Calexico2] Network Connection (rev 05)
Additionally, no problems with knoppix on the ethernet interface em1.
Anybody has a good advice how to find out the reason for this behaviour?
Recheck network equipment.
Cat?
Knoppix, Fedora, kernel versions?
