Hey don't mind i wanted a small help is there any style guide or

great guidelines. That can be followed normally when writing
articles.
I've been thinking about doing that, but general guidelines for good
writing apply universally. Strunk and White is a good place to start.
Here are some of my observations where we can improve writing in the
Magazine:
* Avoid passive voice, which unnecessarily lengthens sentences and is
harder to read.
NOT AS GOOD: A new release of the Firefox package was made by the
maintainers last week.
BETTER: Maintainers made a new Firefox release last week.
* Avoid gerunds -- words that end with "-ing." They are often signs
of a weak or passive voice, and they decrease readability.
Reformulate the sentence.
NOT AS GOOD: The resolution is aiming to decrease the time between
security updates.
BETTER: The resolution aims to decrease the time between security
updates.
* Shorter sentences are easier to read. Avoid long compound sentences
where possible.
* Shorter words are easier to read. Avoid big words where a smaller
one is just as effective.
* Brevity is great, but clarity is fabulous.
