repmgr

Hi,
I built a repmgr package and I noticed that Fedora doesn't have a
repmgr package in the distro.
What would be needed to add the repmgr to the distro?
I could volunteer as a packager for repmgr.

Selective updates of sub-packages

Hi,
recently, I stumbled upon the question, if we'd support partial updates
of packages. In the specific case, both python-django and python3-django
were installed, and the update via yum update python-django failed.[1]
The underlying issue is here, that python3-django and python-django
share the same bash completion definition. I moved that out to a
sub-package both python-django and python3-django can safely require,
thus, the conflict is solved. Nevertheless, on the partial upgrade case,
a conflict can still occur.

python module not installed

Hi list,
I'm updating a python package and I have the following issue. As
per Fedora packaging guidelines, we should use:
%build
%{__python2} setup.py build
%install
%{__python2} setup.py install -O1 --skip-build --root %{buildroot}
which is fine to me. But with this new version of my package, the module
doesn't get copied if --skip-build is present (it only
copies the egg):
running install
running install_lib
warning: install_lib: 'build/lib' does not exist -- no Python modules to
install
...
What should I do? If I remove --skip-build, it works fine, but I'm not
sure if I can do that in the spec file.

Fwd: Broken dependencies: mup

Hi all,
I'm confused by this email, and what action I'm supposed to take.
I don't use Fedora much (mostly EPEL on CentOS systems), but I did
deploy a Fedora VM and update it to Rawhide.
I've tried performing "yum install mup", grabbing the source RPM and
rebuilding, "rpm -V", etc. and all succeed without any dependency errors.
What are the "broken dependencies" in this email referring to?
[root@localhost ~]# yum whatprovides libfltk.so.1.3

kernel debug-info build

Hi,
I am not sure if I am posting my question to the correct mailing list, please forgive me if it isn’t and guide me to the correct mailing list:
In my fedora box I can find the kernel debugging symbols located at /usr/lib/debug/lib/modules/3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64
My question:
How to generate this information for my custom build kernel to be used in probing it using SystemTap? I know about the option “CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO” in my .config file but I can’t see its influence after the build, I am expecting to see the “.debug” files somewhere.
