Hi,
I've just orphaned appmenu-qt5. Some years ago it was required to
display the menu for Qt5 applications in plasma-widget-menubar. But
the latter hasn't been ported to Plasma 5 yet, and this will probably
never happen. The last upstream activity was more than three years
ago. So it is senseless for me to continue maintaining it.
If someone has another usecase for it, feel free to pick it up. But
note, there was a bug regarding FTBFS in Rawhide [1].

I'm interested in taking over firehol, which was orphaned recently due
to unresponsive maintainer.
It has a new version and the first thing would be to update the package
in rawhide.
Firehol is a noarch-package of shell-scripts and systemd service-files.
The new version uses a bash-script for two scripts, which is located
in /usr/lib{23,64}/firehol/ .
Similar is done by the firewalld-package, nevertheless, I did not find
anything in the guidelines about this.
Is it the correct way to handle this, or should the shell-script
probably be moved to another directory (/usr/libexec ?) ?

I'm interested in taking over firehol, which was orphaned recently due
to unresponsive maintainer.
It has a new version and the first thing would be to update the package
in rawhide.
Firehol is a noarch-package of shell-scripts and systemd service-files.
The new version uses a(n arched) binary maintained by the firehol devs
themselves, called iprange.
It's a tool to manage ipranges.
It currently is a build-dependency for the new firehol version.
It looks like firehol can be run without it, but would spit out
warnings when done so.
It's a ver small binary created of one c-file.
It can be packaged standalone (might be useful for other packages too)
or as part of the same srpm (with some tweaking).
It's most likely not an option to include it upstream into the
firehol-sources, because they just removed it from there and made it
standalone.
The problem is, that the haproxy-package also contains an
iprange-binary, which is not compatible.
So how can this be handled properly ?
Rename firehols's iprange to something like fh_iprange or iprange_fh or
move it into /usr/libexec ?
But the latter would not really resolve the possible conflict.

Hi, I've worked out what seemed to be a correct URL for for rakarrack
spec, now that it is accessed via git within the sf website:
%global commit a6208406d94a1da978f435605072ee5caefe1491
Source0:
http://sourceforge.net/code-snapshots/git/r/ra/rakarrack/git.git/rakarrac...
Which works OK for some time, but then the next day it fails.
It seems that the web site creates the archive dynamically, and you can
download it multiple times using the above URL, within say 6-20 hours:
https://sourceforge.net/p/rakarrack/git/ci/master/tree/
click Download Snapshot, then cancel the auto download, and copy the
direct URL.
Then next day, I noticed rpmlint is kicking up an error saying source
doesn't exist. Indeed attempting to wget the filename fails.
But then if I go to the web page again and click Download Snapshot
(which creates the archive), now rpmlint succeeds.
I couldn't work out how to fit the sourceforce git URLs from:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:SourceURL#Sourceforge.net
or
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:SourceURL#Git_Hosting_Services
to suit. Any ideas for a standard way to handle sf git snapshots ?
Is the provided URL (which goes stale quickly, yet is re-generate-able) OK ?
