What does this mean?

Hi All,
Our bright and sparkling new F8 installation is producing some funny
reports on the daily logwatch email. Can anyone tell me what the
following two or three types of errors mean?

How to put custom RPM in Installation disk of Fedora

I have created Source RPM file and I want to put that in Fedora Installation
Disk.
How can I put that into installation disk of Fedora?
Soruce RPM installed content into /usr/src/redhat/SRPMS directory. I want to
change that to /root's home directory can I do that ? if yes then how can i
do that?

ndiswrapper with 2.6.24 kernels

Hi,
has anybody successfully installed the freshrpm's dkms-ndiswrapper package?
The installation itself is not the problem, but the kernel module
compilation fails.
The kernel modules was usually compiled and properly installed with the
execution of "/etc/init.d/dkms start". This command still does not show
any error messages, but after returning after some seconds of operation,
there's no kernel module in /lib/modules/`uname -r` which is confirmed
by modprobe : "FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found."
Nobody's reporting any problems?! How are you using ndiswrapper WLAN
adapters with F8 and 2.6.24.x kernels?

New sendmail.mc, spamass-milter requirement?

I got this wierd maillog message:
Mar 31 18:00:31 <hostname> spamass-milter[2818]: Could not retrieve
sendmail macro "b"!. Please add it to confMILTER_MACROS_ENVRCPT for
better spamassassin results
Can someone point me to what I need to add, if anything to the mc file?

I would say that the hard disk did not have time to shout help to the system bios.
No Help, I am sick and dying, Make a backup of me before I go..
On a more serious note, is there a way to fake a hard disk failure that smartd code would react to?

Xine upgrade (lib = 1.2, ui = 0.99.5)

I recently upgraded my distro from fedora 7 to fedora 8.
With fc8 comes xine-lib 1.2 and xine ui 0.99.5.
I found that I couldn't play mpegs until I changed my xine -V from xxmc
to xvmc. Now I can play mpegs fine. I'm okay with that. I'm using
the NVIDIA drivers, installed locally, version 100.11.
I'm still not able to play DVDs though, and I'm stumped as to why not.
I have run xine from the cmdline, and I can see that it finds the DVD
title, VOBs, etc. It just doesn't startup and play.
If I use -V xv for DVD's xine works fine.
This isn't an issue with libcss, as I can see the titles are decrypted properly.
Xine is at the point where it's starting to play, but it just stalls.
Has anyone encountered this issue?

Chandler rpms?

I was looking at the Chandler PIM project
(http://chandlerproject.org/) and apparently there are no recent
binary builds, and certainly none for Fedora 8.
Before I go to the trouble of building it myself, I'm wondering if
anyone has already done this or knows of one on the net?

F8: Thinkpad T61 wakes up at random after hibernating

So, I have been having this same problem (not always, but very frequently),
ever since I upgraded to 2.6.24 kernels (all three released so far).
I put my trusty Thinkpad T61 on pm-hibernate, and it goes down peacefully:
however, within a second after everything shutting down, all lights off, it
revvs up and starts all over again. Regardless of whether the lid is closed or
open.
This does not happen always.
Any suggestions?

CUPS printers and HP 5600 printer

I have an HP 5600 printer that worked just fine with my Fedora box until
I changed the black cartridge with a new HP one. On my windows machine,
I got messages about aligning the print cartridge, and everything worked
fine after that. However, using CUPS on my (much preferred) Fedora box,
the printout is always less than good quality, and the system complains
that the printer is low on ink (which it isn't, since its a new
cartridge and only used a few times so far)
The printout quality is a slightly slight shade of blue / black, rather
than the impressive deep black I get on that (horrible) Windows machine.
It seems to be due to the CUPS printer as my wife gets the same thing
and she has a Ubuntu machine

location of user crontab's?

Greetings;
I've had a drive crash & burn, put in a fresh 500GB, and have the system about
75% restored, thanks to amanda, but somewhere, all the crontabs seem to have
come up on the missing list.
They are probably still buried in 300GB of amanda backups, but I've apparently
gotten lost and can't find them.
Can someone enlighten me please?
