New alternative: try my COPR. I've assembled a version of poppler that seems to fix the problem. And be compatible with the rest of F20.

Yes!! I had no idea what was causing this. All of my printers available at my work had stopped handling duplex.
I verified that this issue is fixed by the poppler-fix-f20, at least on one hp laser printer.
