Morning all,
Forget this. The problem was that the vpn-up script was constantly trying to start the VPN even though it was already up. The log entries showed each attempt start and then finish.

I've set up another Fedora box as a VPN gateway. Working locally on the LAN everything worked fine. However, I've just installed it now at a remote site using that site's Dreytek Vigor ADSL router over a BT broadband and now I have a problem with the pppd connection constantly dropping / raising.
The pppd link is raised using the following:
/usr/sbin/pppd updetach noauth passive \ pty "ssh $HOST -P -o Batchmode=yes /usr/sbin/pppd nodetach notty noauth" \ $LocIP:$RemIP
Which worked before and still does. However, as the /var/log/messages extract shows, there is definitely a problem.
Can anyone suggest what I need to do to fix it.
