you guys as a last resort, in case someone can email it from their
computer. I have nothing to worry about this laptop. This solution seems to
have originated from Ubuntu or Debian but I only run Fedora 23 & CentOS
7.2. Please spread the word.

expect us to do about it? Have you tried emailing the technical contact
for the domain?

Some Fedora or CentOS users must have this same laptop or Asus or Acer and
others - they all come with this wlan card.

How do you know the driver is proprietary instead of open
source?
Some or many companies build linux drivers for their devices and release
the drivers to open source so that they do not have to maintain it
themselves.

trust them with your personal or business Credit Card? Most likely it's
in overseas. I'm in USA. This file can't be for sale. Don't be a moron. And
I did a lot of research before I got to this mailing list in despair as a
last resort, and I'm willing to help any Linuxer with no condition at all.

The domain name ends in .ca, putting it in Canada. Not that that proves
it's honest, but at least it's not someplace like .ru or .ng, where the
default is that they're crooks.

It doesn't matter how much of a guru you are; if the site has a
bandwidth limit, it's not going to let anybody download the file until
the situation is corrected. For all practical purposes, that site's
down as far as the file you need is concerned. Unless you can find a
different source, there's nothing anybody can do about it. If you can't
wait, find out who the tech contact for the domain is and let them know
because they're the only people who can do anything about this.
