Dose any one know why my sound is not as loud it is in windows that it is in linux my speakers are all the way up also the volume is all the way up to ?

I've had this problem for years but gave up reporting it. And then with F9 all but one of the CD music players went south.

I don't know if it is a coincidence or not, but the volume on my new laptop is low as well. What kind of soundcard are you using ? Thanks
