FYI, this has been resolved since installing vnc-server-4.1.2-31 from
Fedora-Updates. This coincided with an update to the xorg-x11-* packages,
so those updates could have been responsible for the fix, too. In any case,
I'm very grateful this has been corrected! :)

I've noticed that the VNC server distributed with Fedora Core 9
does not
respond to continuous key-presses (e.g. hold down a key and expect to see
the character displayed continuously on the display). This did not occur in
Fedora Core 8. I've seen this behaviour on the PPC and x86-64 distribution
of Core 9. I've also used three different VNC clients (RealVNC, TightVNC,
and Chicken of the VNC) and seen the same results, so I seriously doubt it's
a client issue.
I've installed the current release of VNC server for Core 8 on my Core 9
system and saw the same behavior. This has lead me to believe that it's not
a problem with VNC as much as a problem with the X server. Has anyone else
seen this problem? Any ideas on how to correct it? It's mostly a nuisance,
but one that I'd like to fix!
