In other Linux distros I depend on Kate for scratchpad notes, as well as text file manipulation. For some reason, when I try to install Kate on the 32-bit KDE system, "Kate part" shows a big red X, and when I try and install I get this:
Dependency Resolution Errors:
Package: kate-pate-4.11.5-1.fc20.i686 (updates) Requires: pykde4 Removing: pykde4-4.11.5-1.fc20.i686 (@updates) pykde4 = 4.11.5-1.fc20 Available: pykde4-4.11.3-1.fc20.i686 (fedora) pykde4 = 4.11.3-1.fc20Package: kate-4.11.5-1.fc20.i686 (updates) Requires: kate-part(x86-32) = 4.11.5-1.fc20 Removing: kate-part-4.11.5-1.fc20.i686 (@updates) kate-part(x86-32) = 4.11.5-1.fc20 Available: kate-part-4.11.3-2.fc20.i686 (fedora) kate-part(x86-32) = 4.11.3-2.fc20
Now I have gone back to yumex and marked kate-part again, and I get the red X again. How can I get Kate installed?
Thanx for your interest--doug

What do you get when running
yum list kate* yum -y install kate
?
