Since today I'm no longer are able to use the F5 VPN solution.
When the F5VPN is started, I get a password dialog with the text:
Authentication is required to restart 'NetworkManager.service'
An applicationis attempting to perform an action that requires privileges. Authentication
is required to perform this action.
Problem is, the VPN dies due to this, and reinitializing the VPN only results in the same
dialog.
This _never_ happended with previous versions of Fedora, nor did it happen with F31 prior
to today (last time I used it was last Thursday).
If I enter my password, the dialog goes away, but the F5VPN process has also died.
When I tried to open my keyring my current password, nor any previous passwords worked,
so I suspected that something has corrupted my keyring and recreated them from scratch,
logged out and in again. Did not help.
I downgraded NetworkManager to 1.20.4-1.fc31 and restarted. Did not help.
I downgraded systemd to 243-3.gitef67743.fc31 and restarted. Did not help.
How can I disable this password dialog so that it does not break F5VPN?
F5VPN is a commercial product, yes?
Do they have support or a support community?
I don't think you can configure the restart of services without authentication.
