The website suggests that Fedora Core 2 will be 2.6 based, and the schedule for Core 2 shows first test release in early February. Justin

Updates to FC1 will be available for 2-3 months after the release of FC2. See the question "What is the errata policy for The Fedora Project?" in the FAQ: http://fedora.redhat.com/about/faq/ The Fedora Legacy Project has been setup to pick this up. I believe they are planning on supporting FC1 for much longer: http://www.fedoralegacy.org/ They are in the process of getting the infrastructure needed setup, they are also planning on supporting some older Red Hat Linux releases.
