when I install the printer I get the splix driver as recommended in the ML-1610 drivers but when I try to install I get the message that cannot be used with ML-1610.

The splix driver hasn't yet been packaged for Fedora.

Aaargh. I have the ML-2510, which also recomends the splix driver. the samsung driver gives "error! can't load plugins!" and the print jobs just hang around in CUPS. it's like 95% there, just something about getting the jobs to the printer.
Any pointers? Data I can provide?
