Can you say if that format equates to, or is it similar to, the format
systemd-networkd uses?
# cat /etc/systemd/network/eth0.network
[Match]
PermanentMACAddress=00:00:00:00:00:00
[Network]
Address=192.xxx.xxx.xxx/24
DNS=192.xxx.xxx.yyy 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1
Gateway=192.xxx.xxx.yyy
IPv6AcceptRA=no
LinkLocalAddressing=no
It's similar only in the structure ("ini" file format), but not the
content.
# ls -Gg /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/*eth*
-rw-r--r-- 1 267 Sep 9 2013 /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 6560 May 4 20:00 /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifdown-eth
-rwxr-xr-x 1 14192 May 4 20:00 /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-eth
I think there's a Change for the next release to automatically convert
those to the new format.
