Hey quick question I have a 64 meg mp3 player(parallel port) and was wondering if there's any linux software for mp3 players, so my player can be connected? thanks gm

New subject: usb storage

I've got a usb mass storage device. The device shows up in usbview utility, but I was wondering how do I mount the drive to transfer files over? thanks gm

With any luck, you should be able to mount /dev/sda1 just like you'd mount any other device (mount /dev/sda1 /some/mount/point). That should be just about all there is to it.

Not necessairly, you need to be sure the hotplug package is installed. With that installed it "just works" (tm) for me. Look in the logs for error or clues If you do not see it identified as a scsi device you are missing something. HTH, .......Tom

Whatever you say :) All I know about usb-mass-storage devices is that I bought a USB SecureDigital card reader, plugged it in, and all I had to do to get it working was to mount /dev/sda1 :)
