Hi all,
I installed F17 x64 in a virtual box and resulted F17 fully updated and works well. But when trying to install any new package ...
yum install iptraf
.... iptraf-ng-1.1.1-1.fc17.x86_64. FAILED curl#7 - "Couldn't connect" .... Trying other mirror. and so on!
Same as http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/users/2012-November/427243.html
Modifying in yum.repos.d does not help. Same install with Centos 6.3 x64 with same result!
Why this, what's wrong now? Any sugestion?
Thanks
C. Sava

if you have the same on F17 as on CentOS it is pretty clear that it is no software-problem, so i would say you are behind some proxy

No, I have fix (not local!!!) address, with bridging (VirtualBox 4.2.4), I can connect with ssh from or at it. So it's something else. It was not the case until now.

And another detail: I did both installs (first C6 and after the problem tried F17) today, few hours ago. Both installed all the updates at install time but later failed to install packages using yum. Not using graphical environment, no Gnome/KDE/XFCE, only mysql and httpd (stopped)
