It currently only lists items that have a
/usr/share/themes/<foo>/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
file. (Ie, I'd venture some of those listed on your machine are gtk3 only)
It is just as you say:
$ locate gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/Crux/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/HighContrast/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/Industrial/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/Mist/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/Raleigh/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/ThinIce/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/oxygen-gtk/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
These are exactly the 9 themes that appear on the pull-down menu.
How can I identify which themes from (say)
http://gnome-look.org are
suitable for use by KDE? Are there any HOWTOs on building or modifying
these themes suitable for a beginner?
