The latest kernel is basically 2.6.7, using back ported patches.. FC3 has 2.6.7 iirc. -- netmask

technically, of course, it's only FC3-t1, and the originally installed kernel on that (at least on my test system) is 2.6.7-1.148. rday

If I were you I'd start using the desktop kernel that was announced on this list. http://apt.bea.ki.se/kernel-desktop/ It is based on 2.6.7 with fedora patches and Con Kolivas patchset for desktop performance. It works well on my laptop. Regards Phil

Are you able to compile the Nvidia driver? I had tried to install FC3 Test kernels on my FC2, but was never able to compile Nvidia... -- Bjorn Andersen <ba(a)linuxin.dk>

No, because my video card (on Dell Inspiron) is an Intel 852 and in the desktop I use a Ati Radeon. Gio
