Yes I installed with INSTALL script. I'm just trying to open Reader with the 'acroread' command.
I don't have any problems with Acrobat 7. Did any of you bother to uninstall Acrobat 5?
I did not reboot nor did I remove earlier versions and it still worked. It may be that your language is not set correctly. Look at /etc/sysconfig/i18n --

If you installed the 7.0.0-1 or earlier version of Acrobat get the 7.0.0-2 version from Adobe.
Here's the link: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html Download the rpm, not the tar, file and use "rpm -Uvh AdobeReader_enu-7.0.0-2.i386.rpm" to install it.
