encription
by Patrick Dupre
Hello,
I encripted one partition of a usb key.
When I plug it, it used to ask me about the paraphase, but after I
entered one time, the partition is mounted. Then, I can eject the key, and replug it,
but it does not ask me anymore the paraphrase, mounting the partition automatically.
I would like that it ask me the paraphrase every time that the key
in replugged.
How can I get this behavior?
Thank.

Auto select text/document type
by Roger
Using Fedora 19
I have a number of .txt tiles created in gedit mainly reminders and dev
tips and tricks, and coding filea in .erb and .html.erb in rails and
some .php in Drupal sites for which I use Geany.
I've set file manager to automatically open the erb, php with geany and
gedit to open .txt files but if I open a .txt from filemanager it always
defaults to Geany and .erb files open either in gedit or geany.
Is there any way I can set gedit default to reject .php .erb, etc. Same
for Geany, default to reject .txt files.
Thanks in advance

I tried both. I even turned the machine off, but it still keep in
memory the passphrase somewhere.

I would agree.

I did not use the partition while it was plugged and mounted.

Printing of colour pages from adobe reader comes out greyscale
by Erik P. Olsen
Subject says all. Printing the same pages with gimp comes out correctly.
Printing is ordinary colour print not photo.
Adobe reader: Version 9.5.5
Fedora: Version 19 fully updated as of 25/9-2013
CUPS: 1.6.3-4.fc19.x86_64
Printer: HP Photosmart 8450
Is this a known issue and is there a fix for it?

Installing bootloader to sba1
by Doctor Who
I have a machine on which I want to install Fedora 19. During the install,
I'm given the option to install a bootloader, but not 'where' other than a
disk (/dev/sda, /dev/sdb). I use a 3rd party tool to multi boot, so I
would like the boot loader to be installed on /dev/sdb1.
Is this possible to specify during the install? If so, how?
Thanks.

Xwindow not working after install of Fedora 19?
by Michael D. Setzer II
Had booted an older Lenovo R51 notebook with the Live ISO, and
the login worked, and then went thru the clean installation on the
hard disk. Install seemed to go thru just fine, but after the login
screen go thru login and password, and get a black screen with
Fedora graphic at bottom.
The Xorg.1.log shows this message lines that seem to be the
issue.
Fatal server error:
[ 617.643] (EE) no screens found(EE)
[ 617.643] (EE)
Have saved the complete Xorg.1.log file, and also tried running a
full yum update that included about 500+ updates. Still doesn't
log in.
Also, installed xfce to see if using that instead of gnome would
work, but no change.
Machine seems to work fine from the terminal session just fine?

Keyboard locking up in FC17
by Tod Thomas
I've read that fc17 is end of life but maybe someone has run into this.
I'm running fc17, latest upgrades, using XFCE, and periodically the
keyboard just stops working, mouse is fine. I end up having to mouse
over ALL of my open windows saving and closing. Once I logoff and logon
everything works normally. I've checked the Xorg log, messages, dmesg,
everything I can think of but its sill happening. I even tried turning
off the screen saver but that didn't help either. It happens
inconsistently which makes it even more annoying :)
Not sure there's a single answer given the possible moving parts
involved. If nobody can think of anything off the top of their head
could someone suggest a good way to try and debug? I'll be upgrading
here eventually but right now the timing is not optimal.
TIA - Tod
