nautilus sometimes responds very sluggish to mouse doubleclicks on icons in folder windows
by Joachim Backes
Hi all,
anybody sees this too:
I'm running f22 (gnome3 desktop, nautilus as file manager). It happens
almost always that nautilus does not respond to a double click on icons
in some folder window. Trying to change the mouse behaviour by
gnome-control-center was unseccessful.
All updates are installed.
But if I use thunar for example (instead of nautilus), the
mouse-clicking behaviour of thunar works as expected.
All hints are welcome.
Kind regards

Pop up
by jarmo
Some of newest updates brought annoying thing. Anyone else get every
now and then pop up window, says, Reminder, "sitting is killing you!
Take a short walk! What makes this happen? Idea is good, BUT this is
not the way to set reminders! Start thinking, what else hidden there in
distro. So, can anyone tell, how to get rid of it? Does not help, if I
mark "Do not remaind me again.

Frequent X Freezes
by Dave Cross
Last weekend I raised a bug about frequent X freezes that I'm seeing
on my desktop since the upgrade to F22.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1231508
I've had no updates to that bug. I'm not complaining about that at
all. I realise that developers are busy people. But I wondered if
anyone here had any suggestions of other investigations I could carry
our or other useful information that I could add to the bug.
I'm happy to do all that I can to try and get this problem fixed.
Cheers,
Dave...

gigantic messages files created in /var/log makes system virtually unusable
by Ranjan Maitra
Hi,
Earlier today, I discovered my 2-week-old (in terms of installation) F21-> F22 system unusable. Upon investigation, I found / at 100%, because it had been overrun by a /var/log/messages file which was 7.5G. I deleted this file (and also removed auditd, horrifying!) but was wondering if there is a way to limit the size of the messages file or at least erase the old messages files once in a while.
My / is 14 GB, /boot is 1GB, and swap is 32 GB. Memory is 32 GB also. I installed Fedora 21 on June 3 or 4 and then upgraded to F22 last week using FedUp.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Ranjan

I don't have silk screening on mine, but I'm pretty sure it was Processor Tech
that made it. I bypassed the 4 slot and went straight to that backplane,
and its 16 slots. It was the IMSAI that put in a 22 slot backplane.
PS. Thanks for making me look at mine. My machine was warm!
Turns out my add-on 8V supply has been on for the last couple of months
and I didn't even know it.

question/problem re: smplayer and mpv
by JD
I tried to post this problem to the smplayer forum, but have received
no answer yet.
I tried to subscribe to the mpv mailing list, and I have yet
to receive an email to confirm that I wish to subscribe to the list.
With mpv, I tried several times, but still it seems that their
subscription 'engine' is not working.
So, the question is:
I want to use mpv as the player that smplayer will launch to play
a file or a url.
smplayer is popping a banner, saying:
Ooops something wrong happened.
I click on show log, and this is what it says:
/usr/bin/mpv -noquiet -nofs -nomouseinput -lavdopts threads=4
-sub-fuzziness 1 -identify -slave -vo xv:adaptor=0 -ao pulse

So, where are all these command args configured?
I do not see these in any file in ~/.mpv
nor in ~/.mplayer
Thanx for any tips about this.
