I have seen it for about the last month or 2.
It seems to have a limit as no matter how long it is up it won't eat
up all of the ram on my 32gb machine, but it happily overruns at 10GB
machien quickly
I did a bit of looking and this might help (crudely pasted) (content
limit defaults to 8, and lowering it reduces the extra threads+ram per
firefox instance).
You might try 4. I am going to have to try it on my machine with 10GB
or I just have to give up and buy a new machine that I can get ram
for.
preferences -> home -> deselect use recommended peformance settings
and more options will show up.
Performance
Use recommended performance settings (deselect this)
Content process limit 8
Additional content processes can improve performance when using
multiple tabs, but will also use more memory.
