There's a dnf
update too. I usually erase a /var/cache/dnf to clean data.
There are others in the Fedora users list much more knowledgeable about
dnf than am I. I leave it to them to answer.

My mistake: it's "dnf upgrade", not "dnf update".
That's updating the man page database the "man"
command uses. It only
runs when something in the update modified or added man pages. I do
usually wait for it to finish before rebooting, though I think it
will try again later if it didn't get finished.
