Homere:8.log is still alive and growing up
tail:
** (gnome-settings-daemon:24841): CRITICAL **: unable to create file
'/run/user/1000/dconf/user': Permission denied. dconf will not work properly.
Thus I killed it.
and restart it
First of all.... For log files the :N indicates which display the log file belongs to.
I would check ssh into the system to see if some vnc processes are still running.
ps -eaf | grep -i vnc
/usr/bin/Xvnc :1 would be display 1 and I would run....
vncserver -kill :1 on it and any other vnc displays which may be active.
I would then delete the *log files and restart the with
vncserver
You should see something like.....
[egreshko@f20f .vnc]$ vncserver
New 'f20f.greshko.com:1 (egreshko)' desktop is f20f.greshko.com:1
Starting applications specified in /home/egreshko/.vnc/xstartup
Log file is /home/egreshko/.vnc/f20f.greshko.com:1.log
And there should be no errors in the log file.... It should be quite small initially.
